Job Description:
The Shell Catalysts & Technologies organization is looking for an experienced and influential Supply Chain Professional to serve as the contract holder to some of our top Metals and Chemicals suppliers across the manufacturing portfolio. Also, this will be a dynamic role where you will embark in a journey to support Manufacturing and Supply Chain in various cost related opportunities by working closely with the Finance organization. Another core responsibility of this role will be to manage the CO2 reduction funnel. This role will have the opportunity to work with various plants to develop our opportunity funnel to become a net zero contributor to the overall Shell ambition.
What’s the role –
The Supplier Manager will play a key role in four different areas:
Supply Chain: serve as the contract holder for our top raw material suppliers. This will consist in aligning business financial and operational objectives with 3rd parties. It will be critical to collaborate with CP/Finance and ensure our manufacturing plants maintain a high level of continuity of supply, efficiency, and cost-effective options at all times.
Cost: supports the MFG Supply and Performance Manager in driving data efforts to improve the quality of cost data for the supply chain and operations organization. The goal will be to create accurate goals to drive cost down and improve profitability.
CO2: Focuses on building the CO2 data funnel to quantify SC&T emissions in manufacturing. Works closely with the Capital project team to develop project funnel to reduce SC&T carbon footprint.
May have other responsibilities as per business needs.
What we need from you -
A legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent (MBA is preferred) with at least seven (7) years’ experience in Supply Chain in manufacturing settings
Specific skills and experiences must include:
Managing chemical program
Able to manage priorities without direct supervision.
Familiar with SAP and ability to understand best in class cost data in order to support improvements.
Strong analytical skills and versed in tools to analyze data. (Power BI, Spot Fire, JMP, etc.)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence senior leaders within Shell.
Extensive problem solving and project management skills.
Extensive experience building and executing upon strategies.
Ability to manage a wide variety of disciplines and expectations and proven ability to deliver projects to completion.
