Job Summary
Responsible for network site planning, equipment deployment planning, deployment managing and basic design of network instances. Completes network deployment, manages contract teams in deployment, provisions and supports, wireless, Ethernet transport regional network serving residential and commercial customers. Responds to network incidents, determines resources needed for correction and corrects or leads team involved in resolving incident. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.

Technology Environments & Strategy (TES) Lab Operations exists to facilitate the innovation of Comcast's next-generation Architectures and Products. Overview of the Role:
Network Engineer is directly responsible for the planning, deployment, and management of lab networks, including the basic design of emerging network instances. Individual will respond to network incidents, determine resources needed for correction and corrects or leads team involved in resolving incident. Has in-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in area of discipline, usually determining own work priorities and serving as resource for colleagues with less experience. This function will consist of a small team of Engineers and work closely with other peer functions that include Design Engineering, Video Engineering, CMTS Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Center Infrastructure, and Project Management.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
5-7 years of experience in Network Operations and a comprehensive understanding of Layer 2, Layer 3, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and IS-IS.
Experience with platform operating systems such as: IOS, eOS, and JUNOS (IOS XR preferred)
Intermediate ability to analyze and evaluate complex networks, identify issues, and apply corrections or enhancements to ensure network operation efficiency.
A self-starter who demonstrates critical thinking, self-motivation, time-management, and curiosity.
Ability to partner with functional teams to influence and drive alignment.
