We are seeking a Sr Engineer, Best Buy Health

. This role will lead our architecture direction and be a major contributor to our engineering product teams for our Virtual Care offerings. The work will focus on the delivery of our technology solutions which drive the Best Buy Health strategy. You will collaborate with Product Managers, User Experience Designers, other Architects, and other team members to build products that align with our Health vision and execution strategy. The engineering of these products will leverage agile methodologies and DevOps principles to deliver industry-leading solutions at high velocity with unrivaled quality. The ideal candidate for this role would have a unique blend of leadership, technical acumen, deep architecture skills, and an understanding of innovative engineering practices. This servant leader will also be expected to contribute to the technical aspects of the products which the teams will be creating.

The ideal candidate for this role would:

Be recognized as a technical leader both in their company and at an industry level

Be an expert in multiple software languages, frameworks, and solutions

Have knowledge on multiple domain-specific software packages both commercial and open source

Have experience in architecting and delivering with highly skilled engineering teams in product model environments

Have a solid understanding of the health care industry.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities Include:

Leads a Virtual Care engineering team with a focus on an overall engineering mindset

Leads high performing teams of engineers to effectively deliver strategic objectives

Helps develop an inclusive, collaborative, and diverse team of technical professionals and drives employee engagement through innovative solutions

Manages the team outcome around architecture direction, technical designs, testing strategies, deployment strategies, and production support objectives

Fosters consistent use of established methodology and tools usage

Creates and presents technical architectures

Drives performance analysis and tuning

Ensures that projects are on track and helps teams solve issues with roadblocks, cross-functional dependencies, infrastructure needs, and operations transitions.

Consistently looks for areas of improvement in development technologies and methodologies

Participates in strategic planning organization-wide

Fosters a learning environment and promotes knowledge-sharing across teams

Continues to drive down the Total Cost of Ownership of our Virtual Care solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience

8 or more years' experience Technology delivery and development

5 or more years’ in Agile delivery methodology and DevOps principles

Expert knowledge of Microsoft technologies

Proficient at coding complex topics and creating properly segmented architectures
