The Customer Experience Engineering team at Acquia is responsible for the Acquia Cloud UI and associated services, including authentication, profile management, entitlements, Acquia Uptime, and Acquia Insight.
Acquia is seeking an outstanding front end Associate Engineer, who has the ability to grow into industry leaders. You have a functional understanding of Javascript applications, preferably Angular/React and TypeScript. You are able to take technical and business requirements and deliver tested and working code with minor direction. You are innovative, bringing your own ideas and suggestions to the project. You know what it means to be collaborative, and play well with others. You will work with your fellow engineers, Product, and Customer Success teams to identify inefficiencies in our current services and processes, then propose and implement changes to improve the Customer Experience
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will…
Work in a highly collaborative environment with back-end engineers, product managers and other front-end engineers.
Develop performant extraordinary modern Customer-facing UIs.
Be responsible for full-stack Javascript development.
Develop and review user interfaces using custom Angular/React components.
Build automated tests.
Collaborate with your team members to review their work and have your work reviewed in turn.
Work with other teams in deciding, developing integrations with other subsystems.
Participate in Scrum software development lifecycle.
Provide product support to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate in a team environment where your team owns and operates the services you build.

What you’ll need to be successful…
Have 1 years of software development experience with solid understanding of modern Javascript frameworks (Angular/React) and TypeScript.
Have hands-on experience building and operating large and sophisticated user interfaces.
Have familiarity with design patterns; writing clean, maintainable code.
Have some experience in PHP and are comfortable navigating unix/linux based operating systems.
Not necessarily a designer, but capable of taking designs and turning them into attractive, functional, and accessible UIs using a mix of front-end frameworks and HTML/CSS.
Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Extra credit if you…
Have experience with Drupal development, or another PHP framework.
