Description
The Associate Director, Infrastructure Engineering scope of responsibility includes ensuring the technical foundation for Virtualization, Operating Systems, Security, and support of cloud environments. Develops the organization's infrastructure and Obsolescence plans, aligns implementation plans, and ensures effective integration of all IT infrastructure. Administers the company's enterprise Server and Virtualization infrastructures, performing upgrades when necessary, monitoring system performance and planning for capacity. Ensures the company's enterprise IT structure meets standards security Service Level Agreements. The Associate Director, Infrastructure Engineering requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s).
Responsibilities
The Associate Director, Infrastructure Engineering designs, analyzes, develops, configures and maintains Virtual Infrastructure, Operating Systems, Networks, Servers, Security/Vulnerability Programs and Software Solutions. Decisions are typically related to identifying and resolving complex technical and operational problems within department(s), and could lead multiple managers or highly specialized professional associates. Our Government contract requires US CItizenship for this position.
Key Accountabilities Include:
Motivating and growing the Humana Military Infrastructure Engineering team to its next level of maturity in agility and scalability
Collaborating with enterprise technology teams to plan and develop Humana Military Infrastructure Engineering initiatives
Team building and management
Required Qualifications:
Our Government contract requires US Citizenship for this position
8 years of technical network engineering experience
5 years of project leadership experience
2 years people leadership experience
Familiarity with Cloud architecture network designs, implementations, and support: AWS/Azure/GCP
Proficiency with end-use device connectivity architecture and implementations
Ability to manage complex multi-organizational projects
Layer2/Layer 3 network architectural design (LAN/WAN)
Experience with virtualization technologies: Citrix/VMware
Experience with Workstation imaging, patching and Group Policies
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with VPN technologies
Agile methodology experience: Kanban and/or Scrum
Work-At-Home Requirements
To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
