What is the role

The Advanced Process Control Engineer is responsible for supporting site delivery of End-to-End Margin Optimization.

Deliver the performance and technical assurance of assigned existing APC systems

Improve existing APC systems to enhance site delivery (yield of high value product, product giveaway, energy efficiency, etc.).

Support site delivery of advanced control development/improvement across the site, including the development and application of Advanced Analytics.

Proactive technical monitoring of assigned APC systems, including health monitoring and reporting of applicable metrics

Proactive technical monitoring of assigned RTO systems, including health monitoring and reporting of applicable metrics

Engage with PACO team, other technical disciplines, and production organization to fully utilize existing advanced control applications and identify new opportunities

Support software/modelling updates to maintain PCD-I compliance

Dimensions:

Site Dimensions: The Norco Energy and Chemicals Park is an integrated manufacturing site producing traditional and sustainable feedstocks in the US Gulf Coast.

APC platform is SMOC/PACE; RTO platform is ROMeo

What we need from you

Requirements:

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis

BS (or higher) in Engineering; Chemical Engineering preferred

6 years' experience in refinery/chemical plant operations and engineering

Demonstrated effective leadership skills

Ability to speak effectively before wide variety of audiences.

Ability to work effectively across businesses/disciplines

Process Engineering or Process Control Engineering experience required
