Profile
We are looking for a PCB Hardware Design Manager to lead a growing global design organization. We are looking for an inventive leader with strong technical and interpersonal skills who is adept at leading, collaborating, and building consensus in a global cross-functional environment. You will be instrumental in providing leadership and technical knowledge for innovative printed circuit and hardware design with a focus on high-density WLCSP design solutions, program management, schedules, and technology roadmaps. This role will have a direct impact on engineering development, high-volume production, and time to market.
Responsibilities
Manage the US design team and work closely with our UK design team
Resource and staff planning to support NPI and sustaining product design
Coordinate and partner with cross-functional teams locally and globally to ensure adequate prioritization, alignment, and visibility of work within the teams
Assist in project management, schedule creation, and completion dates
Work with managers and engineers to prioritize projects
Coordinate closely with manufacturing planning for project transitions from design to manufacturing
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or adjacent field with a minimum 10 years experience and a minimum 5 years management experience
Experience in semiconductor probe card requirements utilizing pitches between 400um and 100um
Able to prioritize and coordinate closely with program management through periods of compressed schedules and high workloads
Flexibility to work with a cross-functional team across multiple geographic locations and time zones
Leadership and management skills including staffing, coaching, and performance management
Solid project management skills able to manage high volumes of projects in parallel
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technical skills
In-depth knowledge of high speed, blind and buried via, and sub .4mm pitch devices
Strong desire to be part of the great Cirrus culture
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Experience with Mentor Graphics design tools, Pads, Expedition, DX Designer, Hyperlynx
Experience using project management tools such as MS Project
Understanding of manufacturing requirements with regards to DFM, DFT as well as sequential lamination fabrication requirements
This position is located in Austin, TX
This is a hybrid position and will follow a 2 day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs and team preference. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment with Cirrus Logic.
