Responsibilities
The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer is a key business partner within Humana's Pharmacy Analytics team. The individual in this high-profile position will utilize tools, technologies, applications and practices to collect, integrate, analyze, and present raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. The associate will leverage SQL, SAS, Power BI, and other tools to help business partners form data-driven decisions.
This is an opportunity to partner with some of the key decision makers in Humana Pharmacy Solutions to solve challenges and improve member experience. You will use your expertise in working with large data sets to create data visualizations that help the business launch new initiatives, and determine the effectiveness of current initiatives based on Key Performance Indicators.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 3 - 5 years of technical experience in data analysis OR Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Advanced understanding of SQL, SAS and other data systems
Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau and Qlik
Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling
Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors
