Description
Humana's Provider Attribution team is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer 2 to join working remote anywhere in the US. Provider Attribution is the process of assigning patients to a provider or group of providers with the goal of identifying which providers have provided care to our members in the past and which providers are most likely to interact with members in the future. This team and the Provider Attribution process is a fundamental driver for clinical member and provider engagement, rewards, and network programs to influence and impact member care and outcomes, improve and obtain documentation required for accurate reimbursement, drive efficiencies in the health care delivery system, and establish reward and incentive programs for providers.
Responsibilities
As a member of this team, you will perform data analysis, develop algorithms and models and present technical information to a broad audience. You will consult with customers to identify business needs and provide guidance and direction in development of business solutions. You will provide guidance and support in the development of business requirements and solutions, provide actionable information, and ensure enterprise consistency in analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure full and clear documentation of all projects, processes and scripts
Consult with customers to understand business needs and translate needs to technology and analytic solutions
Design, develop and deliver user specification into automated database solutions. Ensure quality, functionality, reliability and usability using the best technology to meet the business need
Perform architecture design, prototyping of concepts to proof concept, development of coding standards, development of automated testing scripts and audits, data solution debugging
Perform deep-dive analysis into performance in the attribution models to identify trends and outliers
Analytical support for the provider network and engagement teams to identify optimization opportunities
Leverage data to analyze and answer questions around metric variances
Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems as needed
Create customized reports and communicate the findings and recommendations with business partners and/or senior leaders
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related work experience
1 years of technical experience in data analysis
1 years of experience in SQL
Expertise in assessing complex data sets and performing root cause analysis
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Work at Home/Remote Requirements
Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings
Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
In-depth experience in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivots, charts, graphs, etc.
Experience with data mining and predictive modeling techniques
Ability to use data to drive business outcomes and decisions
