Our team is looking for a IT Disaster Recovery Solutions Engineer to guide and strengthen our resilience and cyber recovery practice.
The IT Disaster Recovery Solutions Engineer is involved with our day-to-day management of our cyber recovery vault and providing solutions for our need to scale out our capabilities. In this role one will implement information systems supporting the requirements for security, resiliency and testing of Humana's IT infrastructure.
An ideal candidate will provide the necessary technical and infrastructure experience for integrating new infrastructure testing and system requirements, within an already established cyber recovery environment. One must possess a demonstrable knowledge of disaster recovery processes, system and network administration, cyber security and infrastructure design in order to expand our growing demand. A Systems Engineer will work to implement solutions for a variety of infrastructure recovery scenarios and adapt designs to meet any current or new environment or application. Successfully implementing and transitioning services seamlessly by maintaining operational service and resiliency levels is extremely valuable. The IT Disaster Recovery Solutions Engineer will take care of analyzing the high availability and quality state of the cyber recovery IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
Work directly with and/or oversee technical project groups to help execute implementation of compute, network, storage, and security infrastructure projects from a technical, educational, and documentation creation review perspective.
Develop and incorporate best practices and improvements into engineering processes and methodologies to increase resiliency, efficiency and quality.
Engage with key technology business partners to understand infrastructure requirements, application architecture roadmaps, and software development lifecycles.
Support the collection of key metrics to gauge and report on our operational experience based on quality of recovery against business objectives, timeliness and disaster recovery standards.
Work with technology Management, technology product development, support teams and vendors to ensure on time, on budget, and quality delivery of technical solutions that support the strategic direction of the business and technology.
Ensure capacity and availability of service offerings by analyzing resource consumption through various tools and monitoring.
Characterize complex problems related to the scalability, reliability, performance, and security of information systems into actionable requirements and solutions.
Manage, identify and troubleshoot orchestration, tooling, compute, and network ecosystem, ensuring feature and capabilities meet service level objectives.
Manage hardware, software, and utilities for installation, modification, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades of operating systems and networking environments.
Required Qualifications:
2-4 years experience developing, managing, and maintaining Disaster Recovery program and processes
Supporting, implementing, and managing core networking infrastructure, 6 years.
5 - 8 years as a Systems Engineer in design, analysis, configuration and maintenance of complex systems software solutions, based on a thorough knowledge of systems engineering and programming concepts and techniques
Ground up assessment, design, and implementation of various infrastructure platforms, like Compute, Storage, Networking and Security, 4 years.
Managing lifecycle of backup/recovery software and processes, 4 years.
Success in implementing ITIL processes
Proven ability to assess, research, document, and produce quality information and insights around complex infrastructure
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science Degree in a Technical Field
Cyber security background, training, and certification
Additional
Associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster, or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
