The Draftsperson is responsible for supporting engineers in various stages of project development.
Engineering support duties include but are not limited to: Design, drafting and detailing structural, mechanical, HVAC and electrical projects.
Maintaining communication with project engineers and efficient organization of project/drafting documents is vital to project success. Throughout the project travel may be required to the site to document field conditions and design/detail equipment and/or structural components as prescribed by the project engineer.
The Draftsperson is responsible for producing, archiving and maintaining accurate drawings adhering to company, OSHA and USDA standards to clearly explain project requirements to various engineering disciplines according to departmental drafting standards. Upon project completion travel to the completed project site to complete as-built drawings may be required.
In addition to project duties the Draftsperson will maintain and continue to develop knowledge of industry specific practices as well as OSHA/USDA regulations applicable to relevant engineering disciplines. Draftspersons must continue developing ability in and knowledge of but not limited to AutoCAD and Autodesk REVIT through department assigned training as well as independent research and study.
Requirements:
Education: Minimum Associate degree in CADD (AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM software preferred) or equivalent experience.
Experience: Preferred 2 years work in CADD in food processing or construction industry.
Communication Skills: Ability to maintain consistent, detailed verbal and written communications.
Computer Skills: CADD skills with AutoCAD, Revit and/or other BIM software preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft office helpful (Excel, Word, Outlook.)
Special Skills: Discipline for working independently and as a team to successfully complete projects of various sizes in multiple engineering disciplines.
Supervisory: None
Travel: 15%. Throughout the project travel may be required to the site to document field conditions and design/detail equipment and/or structural components as prescribed by the project engineer. Limited travel to completed project site to complete as-built drawings may be required.
