Description
Humana Digital Health and Analytics (DH&A) drives innovation to create data-driven platforms, products, and services for use across the entire organization. The Enterprise Data Platform Analytics (EDPA) team in DH&A is a crucial part of enabling and empowering data scientists and business analysts with innovative software solutions and technologies on Azure towards realizing Humana's self-service analytics strategic objectives.
The Technical Product Owner in EDPA will collaborate with a cross-functional team of end-users, product designers, executives, and software engineers to develop and deliver self-service analytics software product capabilities from concept to production.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Build, direct and own EDPA product backlog/roadmap towards realizing Humana's self-service analytics vision
Organize, lead, and influence business user community in understanding the user needs that will give high-value business outcomes
Define user personas, build, and own value-based prioritized product backlog
Write persona-based user stories with a clear definition of the problem, scope, technical requirements on performance/scalability/security, and acceptance criteria
Facilitate, negotiate, and lead situations of alignment by working closely with data analysts, data scientists, software engineering, privacy & governance experts, and business stakeholders
Manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefits
Enable end-users with demos, training, and user guides
Advocate for product quality in defining test plan outlines and guidelines
Report on progress and validate with the user community and executive leadership and advice on expectations and course correction
Required Experience Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or above in engineering or business
8 plus years of enterprise SaaS/IaaS/PaaS software development experience with a focus on big data platform and analytics
2 plus years of enterprise SaaS/IaaS/PaaS product owner/manager experience with focus on data analytics
Background in user experience design principles and concepts with a solid ability to translate user needs to software solutions - 'customer-centricity'
Strong communication and presentation skills for multiple audiences - technical, non-technical, executives, and peers
Experience in making a sound judgment to bridge gaps between customers and technology
Strong technical background and previous hands-on software/data engineering experience to understand the nuances/complexities/intricacies of the data pipeline, data mesh, data analytics, and machine learning
Understanding of agile software development best practices
Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines
Experience in Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Desirable Experience Skills and Qualification
Security, compliance, and governance experience with SOC, HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, CCPA
Experience in the health care business and industry
Knowledge of various ETL techniques and data warehouse data modeling
Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Jasper
