ASSOCIATE TECHNICAL DESIGNER

 

OVERVIEW:

This position will be a great opportunity to work in multiple categories of Mens product. Workload will include denim bottoms, swim, outerwear, blazers, and bottoms.

Associate will work directly with a Senior Technical Designer.

 

 

Responsibilities:

*Assist in coordinating department fittings by tracking samples, organizing and completing the fit list, booking the fit model, measuring garments, making notes and comments etc. *Writing fit comments and send to vendors *Measure incoming garments against our spec and vendor supplied measurements *Prepare and track samples and counter samples *Assist in fittings by preparing samples and taking notes *Maintain tech log and technical packs under direction of the Senior Tech

 

Qualifications:

*College degree in Technical Design or Fashion Design. At least 2 years of experience in Technical Design *Basic knowledge PLM preferred *Proficient in PC applications including MS Office and Illustrator *Knowledge of garment construction *Pattern drafting and draping skills *Knowledge of sewing and construction details *Basic understanding of grading *Excellent communication, organizational skills *Attention to detail and follow up skills *Flexible and adaptive to a multi- tasked environment
