Working in Application Support means you'll use both creative and critical thinking skills to maintain application systems that are crucial to the daily operations of the firm. You'll work collaboratively in teams on a wide range of projects based on your primary area of focus: design or programming. While learning to fix application and data issues as they arise, you'll also gain exposure to software development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement, in addition to production lifecycle methodologies and risk guidelines. Finally, you'll have the opportunity to develop professionally —and to grow your career in any direction you choose.  Responsible for implementation and ongoing administration of Hadoop infrastructure, cluster maintenance as well as creation and removal of nodes. HDFS support and maintenance. Backup and restores. Cluster Monitoring and Troubleshooting. Manage and review Hadoop log files. File system management and monitoring. Implement and maintain security. Data capacity and node forecasting and planning. Will install operating system and Hadoop updates, patches, version upgrades as required.  Also closely working with the network,  application, and business intelligence teams to ensure data quality and availability. Be able to support Data Scientist/Engineering team for trouble-shooting on day-to-day issues on Hadoop Cluster and other application components within BRIE/Edison ','!*!This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: BS/BA degree or equivalent experience Basic knowledge of application development Working knowledge in one or more general purpose programming languages, plus an interest in learning other coding languages and skills as needed Working knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals 7 or more years of Knowledge in Linux and Unix shell scripting, Infrastructure Administration Knowledge in Kerberos and Keon SecurityKnowledge or experience working with structured and unstructured data, ETL, and scripting languages Experience in managing large cluster ecosystem, including new hardware design/build/deployments Demonstrated Experience in Hadoop, Cloudera, MapReduce, along with supporting tools Pig, Sqoop, Splunk, Hive, Sentry, Nifi, Flink Basic knowledge of Java and Python is a plusAbility to prepare technical documents to communicate to different level of customers and stateholderKnowledge for AWS infra and CI/CI is a big plus When you work at JPMorgan Chase & Co., you’re not just working at a global financial institution.
