Agora IIoT Project & Process Engineer
Houston - United States
Role and Responsibilities:
Leading and coordinating multiple IIoT projects and process improvements working with others on the Agora team.
Work will involve communication with clients, colleagues, and field personnel.
Projects are technical in nature and require strong problem-solving skills.
Solutions generally involve a combination of hardware, software, and cloud aspects.
Support will be provided by both local and international Agora personnel to complete necessary task for projects.
Training will be provided to learn core processes, tasks and applications across the Agora platform.
Analyzing and interpreting data for troubleshooting and improvement purposes.
Creating procedures, writing reports and documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
Basic Understanding of programming and logic, experience good but not required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Chemical, or other comparable degree.
8 -12 years engineering experience with some Oil & Gas background.
Ability to learn new or current applications, processes and identify areas for improvement.
Ability to troubleshoot system issues end to end involving hardware and software.
Ability to independently or within a team to implement improvements.
Ability to work and communicate well to other members of the development team to detect problems and implement solutions.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize
Strong organization skills and use of available tools to improve processes.
Functional in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Project.
Understanding of how to go from manual process to automated process.
Will need to acquire basic knowledge of networking, VM’s, Linux OS.
Will need to become familiar with some standard protocols such as Modbus TCP and RTU over serial, MQTT.
Will need to learn general understanding of Control Systems and how they work.
Creative thinking skills.
