Job Description This position will be responsible for providing Mechanical Integrity and Reliability Engineering supporting the seven Regeneration Services manufacturing sites. We are seeking a 4 year Degreed Engineer or higher with 10 years of experience in Mechanical Integrity, Mechanical Engineering & Reliability Engineering. The major focus will be on providing leadership and directions to sites, project and business teams that includes mechanical & engineered systems, stress analysis, rotating equipment, materials of construction, Fitness for Service, RCFA, RBI, mechanical system analysis and fabricated equipment design.
Provide input and guidance to other engineers, technicians, plant and business personnel on critical PSM Mechanical Integrity and Mechanical Engineering systems and principles,
Provide Leadership and direction on the application and implementation of consensus codes and standards such as ASME, API 510, API 570, API 579, API 653, NACE, ASNT.
Provide Leadership and guidance on the implementation and execution of Jurisdictional Codes and Standards.
Provide Welding and Fabrication Leadership and direction to site and Project teams MIQA systems.
Lead cross-functional teams in developing and updating pipe and valve codes.
The ability to lead and conduct RCFA’s.
Lead physical failure analysis investigations of mechanical and instrumented systems.
Lead cross-functional teams in reviewing, updating and developing new Engineering Standards,
Practical, plant experience with API 579 Fitness for Service.
Practical, plant experience with the application of CAESAR II, ANYSYS and Abaqus.
Engineering Mechanics formal training.
Fracture Mechanics formal training
Evaluate equipment failure modes that will assist in eliminating/mitigating potential future failures.
Monitor equipment performance and evaluate equipment history and failure trends to determine sources of poor component performance
Provide leadership and direction to sites, project and business teams to Define the proper levels of Condition Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance Program. Which will include, motor circuit analysis, vibration analysis, lubrication, thermography and other NDE methods.
Review engineering specifications/drawings and propose design modifications to improve the mechanical Integrity of process equipment, such as fixed, rotating and instrumented components
Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or higher in Mechanical Engineering
At least 10 years of hands-on verifiable experience in rotating, fixed and instrumented equipment in a chemical manufacturing facility
Prior Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Integrity, and Stress Engineering Experience is preferred
Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, preventive and predictive maintenance technologies, and condition monitoring and fixed time maintenance strategies
Experience working within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). SAP Experience is preferred
Understanding of PSM and other regulatory issues required to operate safely
Current and valid driver’s license
Willing and able to work in a High Hazard environment; outdoors, indoors, elevated heights and confined spaces
Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toes, hardhat, protective eyewear, etc.
Willing and able to climb stairs, ladders, stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, visual acuity for close work, able to reach overhead, able to hear and respond to alarms.
