Where you Come In

The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 describes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.

The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 works with the Resolution Quality Audit Leadership team to identify insights to drive continuous improvement within the Quality team and the broader Resolution Operational Teams. The Resolution team handles all complaints for Humana, including formal grievances, appeals and inquiries that go to our executives. Our mission is to resolve these complaints quickly, effectively and with empathy. Additionally, we help Humana learn from customer complaints to continuously improve upstream processes and ultimately reduce the number of complaints we receive.

Required Qualifications - What it takes to Succeed

3 years of technical experience in data analysis

Expertise in assessing complex data sets, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions

Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications Word, Access and PowerPoint

In-depth experience in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivots, charts, graphs, and pivot tables

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or job related certification

Bachelor's Degree, Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Experience in SQL, SAS or other data systems

Experience with data mining and predictive modeling techniques

Ability to use data to drive business outcomes and decisions

Interview Format

As part of our hiring process, we will be using an exciting interviewing technology provided by Modern Hire, a third-party vendor. This technology provides our team of recruiters and hiring managers an enhanced method for decision-making.

If you are selected to move forward from your application prescreen, you will receive correspondence inviting you to participate in a pre-recorded Voice Interview and/or an SMS Text Messaging interview. If participating in a pre-recorded interview, you will respond to a set of interview questions via your phone. You should anticipate this interview to take approximately 10-15 minutes.

If participating in a SMS Text interview, you will be asked a series of questions to which you will be using your cell phone or computer to answer the questions provided. Expect this type of interview to last anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Your recorded interview(s) via text and/or pre-recorded voice will be reviewed and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.
