Supervisor – EngineeringThis is a supervisory job with responsibility for directing, planning, and apportioning the work of employees including training, coaching, and assessing performance, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory policy. Supervises teams performing engineering work. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Manages CWA union-represented outside plant engineers. Manages preconstruction activities and may negotiate contracts. Ensures that work processes, standards, and master plans are in conformance and that schedules are adhered to. Manages influx of various types of work for an entire office engineering team including Sold Services, held orders, state highway projects, customer relocation requests, new service requests, routine pole work requirements, custom relocation requirements, greenfield developments. Reviews work orders; work prints, estimates, etc. Manages interaction and coordination with other internal departments; Construction, Operations, Sales, Finance, Assignment, etc. Also manages interactions with external entities; CONNDOT, Municipal Engineers, Consultant Engineers, other utility companies, and customers. Position may require extended work hours, especially during emergency or storm events. Typically has project budget and expense control oversight. Supervisory: Yes. Environmental Requirements: This position may be responsible for contributing to Frontier's compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function.Required Skills & EducationEducation: Four-year College Degree Preferably Maths, Science or Engineering based.Experience: At least 10 years of network-related technical experience, OSP Engineering preferred.Technical background including planning and engineering design of OSP facilities.
