Responsibilities
Humana Digital Health and Analytics (DH&A) drives innovation to create data-driven platforms, products and services for use across the entire organization. The Enterprise Data Platform Analytics (EDPA) team in DH&A is a key part responsible for enabling and empowering data scientists and business analysts with innovative software solutions and technologies on Azure.
The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in EDPA will work with the architects, Humana IT systems administrators, and fellow engineers to size, secure, provision, manage, and scale Azure Cloud Platform infrastructure through automation. Own and maintain production and non-production environments to be always in compliance with Humana security and compliance policies. Lead, and collaborate with Cloud Infrastructure architects to innovate on process, infrastructure, and cost improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Own, design, develop, deploy, and manage Azure Cloud Infrastructure components that includes Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Spark clusters, SQL pools, messaging platforms, and system-to-system integrations
Infrastructure as Code and CD/CI Automation: Own design, development, production and maintenance of Azure Cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles with Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, Docker, Kubernetes
Monitor system uptime, and system-to-system integration pipelines and respond to service incidents and disruptions
Stay on top of SLA/SLO, RPO/RTO
Always follow Humana security and compliance policies. Participate in internal and external security audits and maintain records and documentation for compliance
Own software code repositories general administration and maintenance
Monitor and maintain total cost of ownership within the approved budget
Directly work with non-technical business users to troubleshoot and resolve access, performance, and availability issues
Required Experience Skills
_ _ and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related field
5 years of Azure or AWS or GCP cloud services platforms administration
2 years of CD/CI automation leveraging Infrastructure as Code principles using any combination of tools such as Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, Azure Resource Manager, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
2 years of first level production support with any one of large data stores such as AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, RedShift, or MongoDB
PostgreSQL, Cassandra, RedShift, or MongoDB
Security -- Hands-on experience with user authentication and authorization with SSO, SAML, and OAuth setup. In depth knowledge of data encryption and encryption key management protocols using AWS KMS or Azure Key Vault.
Enterprise Security Compliance - In depth understanding of enterprise network and infrastructure security, data security, governance, and privacy requirements for HIPAA, and SOC compliance
Scripting with Shell, Power Shell, and Python
Desirable Experience Skills and Qualification
Work experience with Python
BitBucket, GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, JIRA
Knowledge of big data processing and big data querying using Apache SPARK, SPARK SQL
Knowledge of various ETL techniques and data warehouse data modelling
Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Jasper
