Description

Humana Digital Health and Analytics (DH&A) drives innovation to create data-driven platforms, products, and services for use across the entire organization. The Enterprise Data Platform Analytics (EDPA) team in DH&A is a crucial part of enabling and empowering data scientists and business analysts with innovative software solutions and technologies on Azure towards realizing Humana's self-service analytics strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will work with the technical product owner, technical leads, and fellow engineers to design, develop, implement, and deploy software architectural components, APIs, data models, data processing and transformation pipelines for analytics and visualization. Work with database administrators on performance monitoring and troubleshooting issues, advising any necessary code and infrastructure changes to optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities

Design, development and implement big data integration pipelines sourcing data from disparate sources ranging from traditional data warehouses, curated data sets in Data Lakes, real-time streaming, and raw logs

Design, develop, and implement system-to-system integrations with Humana Data as Service Platform, Azure Synapse Analytics, Humana Identity and Access Management, and Power BI Platform

Develop BI analytics reports and dashboards with Microsoft Power BI toolset for executives and business users

Peer review technical designs, and code reviews

QA test automation for functional and regression testing key product features and capabilities

Partner with architects and tech leads to troubleshoot and resolve critical customer escalations on technical, stability, and performance issues

Required Experience Skills

_ _ and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or above in computer science or equivalent

5 years of enterprise big data, database software development, and analytics using SQL, Scala, Spark SQL, Python, Java, and JavaScript

2 years of database software, data model, structured and unstructured data processing development experience with one or more of SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Oracle, MySQL, Spark, PostgreSQL, HP Vertica, Cassandra, RedShift, or MongoDB

2 years of Webservices/Microservices API development using Java plus Spring Boot, Python and JavaScript

Understanding of data catalog, data governance, data lineage, and data security

2 years of data processing software using one of Azure or AWS or GCP cloud services platforms

2 years BI reports and dashboard with anyone of Power BI, Tableau, or Japser
