Who?

Twilio's Data Platform team is looking for an Staff Engineer with Frontend development focus to join our Enterprise Insights team to help build the next generation Enterprise Insights Platform to store, process and make global data available for reporting reliably and at scale.

Enterprise Insights team is a diverse group of frontend and backend engineers building real time analytical insights solutions for Twilio customer data. These solutions are consumed by multiple products for different business needs at Twilio. Our tech stack includes React, Node, MySQL, Express and Cypress for e2e tests.

As a Staff Frontend engineer, you will have experience:

6 years of proven experience developing highly-available web applications using frameworks such as React

3 years of experience developing Restful APIs

Extensive Javascript experience, and experience in TypeScript, React, Node, Express, Cypress, HTML and CSS

Experience coaching and mentoring other engineers

Experience in Java or Scala, Python familiarity is also useful

Experience in MySQL

Mentored/Led a team of engineers executing medium to large scale projects

Experience in AWS cloud infrastructure to own and operate production services

Understanding and experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies

Strong product and architectural vision and a proven track record to collaborate, communicate, advocate, and execute on that vision

Strong communication skills and desire to make an impact and thrive in small, collaborative, energetic teams

Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Bonus points for data visualization experience and familiarity with different charting libraries

WRITE IT DOWN: Twilio is a global, fast-growing company that builds complex systems. To be successful in joining these globally built complex parts of the system, You will be expected to write down the requirements, design, implementation, etc.

EMPOWER OTHERS: Mentor junior engineers and help them grow. Collaborate with other teams and work cross-functionally for product launches.
