This three (3) months paid returnship will refresh your technical skills. In addition to technical training suited for your key job responsibilities, we provide professional development and peer mentoring with full access to SLB Technical communities. Our returnship is designed with an intent to hire in mind, i.e the possibility of becoming full-time employee after completion of the program with a technology leader in the Energy Industry.

Job Description and Responsibilities
Our ideal candidates are passionate about using technology to solve challenges once deemed “unsolvable.” During the program the job responsibilities will include:
Understand the design, manufacturing, and operation of the products you perform Modeling and Simulation on
Gather project-related information through internal and external sources
Engage with team members and community located around the world
Upon completion of Returnship the participant will then develop into a skilled Modeling engineer and will focus on developing electronics for measurement. The training and job responsibilities will expand gradually to:
Develop high-fidelity physics-based models and their reduced-order versions
Use system identification to develop plant models
Develop controllers and tune parameters to enable robust controls
Deliver results per defined key project milestones along with team members and collaborators
Present project progress updates to stakeholders and management
Develop domain expertise and share knowledge with peers and the engineering community
Keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets. Adopt new practices readily in order to develop innovative and low-cost products.
Maintain familiarity with company technology, organization and business.
Qualifications
Essential
A career break for two or more years
Master or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, or Petroleum Engineering with a specialty in Applied Mechanics;
Good Knowledge of programming (C/C , MatLab Simulink, Python) and control systems is essential.
Some knowledge of sensor technologies, data science, statistical analysis, machine learning, and cloud computing is highly desirable.
Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US.

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Previous experience working in a collaborative and diverse environment
Experience with working with multi-disciplinary teams
