Job Description:
Shell has the ambition to become one of the largest global suppliers of clean power, and we are growing our Renewable Energy and Offshore Wind portfolio through in-house site development and buying into projects started by others.
This is an role in US Offshore Wind aiming to successfully develop offshore wind parks through joint ventures comprising Shell and Partners. It is an opportunity for a high capacity Electrical Engineer with a passion for New Energies to contribute to the development of the Offshore Wind business in North America in a challenging technical and commercial environment.
Responsibilities
Managing the utility interconnection process for multiple offshore wind projects
Supporting the development of offshore wind farms by managing the scope of the electrical systems and equipment as part of the project team
Advising on the overall electrical design of the wind farm and any co-located loads
Advising on the commercial/technical/compliance aspects of the grid connection for the wind farm
Advising on the design of the transmission system balancing technical and commercial requirements
Working with external consultants, suppliers, and contractors to conduct detailed studies where necessary

Requirements:
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
8 years of experience in electrical infrastructure design and grid connections
Technical skill in the areas of power system design and analysis, equipment selection and protection
Experience with US grid laws and regulation is a plus
Knowledge of the design and development of offshore wind farms, including related transmission infrastructure is a plus
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate and integrate the many parties usually at the table
Strong personal leadership in HSSE and Quality
