Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.
Work You’ll Do
Designing, implementing, and operating solutions for custom-developed systems, platform integration, and application modernization to enable core business capabilities. Synthesizing overall operations strategy by analyzing a wide variety of business solutions. Selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex financial analysis and interpreting and reporting on outputs. Participating in setting engagement objectives and scope, developing work plans for components of engagements, coordinating activities between workstreams and identifying changes in scope. Participating in various aspects of the full software development lifecycle for software applications, which may including requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues. Evaluating clients' technology needs, developing customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identifying and mitigating risks in process and technology for client engagements. Functioning as integrators between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients’ business needs. Defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementation. Developing dashboard wireframes and designing requirements based on discussion with an understanding of technical and visual design considerations. Developing and maintaining project deliverables for clients for all phases of the software development lifecycle to substantially build the system functionalities. Creating test cases and performing functional, nonfunctional, system integration, black-box, white-box, and end-to-end testing of software applications. Researching user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implementing fixes, and liaising between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams. Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development. Executing as-is and to-be business process analysis and gathering business requirements/needs using MS Visio, Advanced MS Word, and Storyboards. Translating business requirements into functional and technical requirements, creating functional use cases and design documents, and creating technical design and mapping specifications using MS Visio and Advanced MS Word. Performing requirements management, maintaining traceability, and leading change management by tracking changes using JIRA. Developing dashboard wireframes and designing user stories utilizing MS Visio and Advanced MS PowerPoint. Creating and maintaining project schedule and deliverables for clients using MS Project. Defining performance measures and Key Performance Indictors (KPIs) based on stakeholders discussions, data, and trend analysis using Advanced Excel.
80% Travel required nationally.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, any STEM degree, or a related field. Two years of experience in the offered position or a position in a related occupation. Must have two years of experience with:
Executing as-is and to-be business process analysis and gathering business requirements/needs using MS Visio, Advanced MS Word, and Storyboards;
Translating business requirements into functional and technical requirements, creating functional use cases and design documents, and creating technical design and mapping specifications using MS Visio and Advanced MS Word;

Developing dashboard wireframes and designing user stories utilizing MS Visio and Advanced MS PowerPoint;
Creating and maintaining project schedule and deliverables for clients using MS Project;
