You have an opportunity to join a team that is building and operating state of the art, cloud-native security controls which protect Humana's cloud assets, accelerate cloud development, improve the developer experience, and deliver security transparency. As part of Humana's cloud security engineering group, you'll work with a small team that has large impact, growing your skills in today's most critical technologies.

The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for build, deployment and maintenance of multi-cloud security controls and engineering the security posture of cloud based applications and systems. Cloud Security Engineer work assignments are varied but straightforward and of moderate complexity.

Responsibilities

The Cloud Security Engineer ensures cyber security controls are engineered and deployed to cloud environments and they meet compliance requirements. They automate cloud security controls to ensure threats, vulnerabilities and risks are minimized. The CSE ensures business processes are in place for cloud security control engineering and implementation with proper visibility and approvals. They understand their own work area with its professional concepts, standards, regulations, strategies and operating principles. The CSE makes decisions regarding their own work approach and priorities, following direction. Work is managed and often guided by precedent and/or documented procedures or professional standards with some interpretation.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

0-2 years work experience (This is an entry level position).

Experience in application development and exposure to one of the following programming languages: Python, JavaScript, C#, .net and Go.

Exposure to the software development lifecycle, including design, development and testing of software solutions.

Ability to communicate effectively and build working relationships.

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in a related field.

Exposure to one or more cloud environments, agile development concepts or the healthcare industry.

Training in and passion for security engineering.

Additional Information

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated (preferred) or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
