Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an **Electronics Engineer - Comms Subsystem Engineer/Principal Electronics Engineer - Comms Subsystem Engineer** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA. The successful candidate will be part of a comms development and integration team responsible for providing technical support to system verification testing to meet program critical milestones.
**This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.**
The Electronics Engineer will be responsible for:
Supporting the build out and delivery of communication lab test asset deliverables for development contracts
Supporting critical test events with real time troubleshooting and guidance to ensure successful execution of program milestones
Supporting acceptance testing of comms and network subsystems in support of program deliverable production
Supporting development test activities in effort to verify requirement adherence and demonstrate resolution of program tracked defects for DR closure.
**This requisition may be filled at either an Electronics Engineer level or a Principal Electronics Engineer level.**
**Basic Qualifications (Electronics Engineer):**
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 2 years of related experience OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of related experience
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance and ability to acquire SAP clearance
Up to 25% travel
**Basic Qualifications (Principal Electronics Engineer):**
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of related experience OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of related experience
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance and ability to acquire SAP clearance
Up to 25% travel
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Experience in electronics integration and testing
Familiarity with common industry standards related to digital communications, such as MIL-STD-1553, RS-422, RS-232, IPv4/IPv6
Experience with Networking infrastructure at both the Layer 2 and Layer 3
Experience with RF based test equipment to include spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance and active SAP clearance

Salary Range: $82,400.00 - $123,600.00Salary Range 2: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
