Role Summary/Purpose:
This position is one of several server architects and engineers that implement and support the corporate data center, server, and storage infrastructure. Incumbent provides technical design, implementation and support for all enterprise corporate IT services - Server infrastructure, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Active Directory, along with appropriate security and audit knowledge. Provide a high level of customer service to the various departments on server based systems and effectively manage service providers.

Responsibilities
Support, upgrade, troubleshoot and enhance Epicor’s Microsoft Exchange (2003/2007/2010) and Active Directory infrastructure.
Support, upgrade, troubleshoot, and enhance Epicor’s data center infrastructure including HP servers and blade chassis and VMware.
Design and build new servers to fulfill new business requirements.
Ensure timely and reliable delivery of corporate IT services, including data storage, data backup and restore, file and print services, email services, etc.
Ensure security best practices are implemented and enforced, and participate in corporate audits as needed.
Implement automated tools to manage computer hardware, operating systems and databases.
Troubleshoot, resolve, and close IT trouble tickets related to these systems.
Stay current and informed on information technologies and developments.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Business or Computer Science.
At least 5 years of progressive Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory, Windows server, and VMware experience in production operations in medium to large size organizations. Experience with monitoring and management tools desired.
Extensive experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
Background in management and support of HP servers
Solid technical understanding of design and deployment of Intel Blade Server environments (HP preferred but not required).
Proven background with VMware along with operating systems (Windows)
Processes and procedures for production environment supporting 7x24 operations, including change control processes for orderly modification and upgrade of production hardware and software.
Good verbal and written skills to develop processes and procedures to provide proactive management and support of production systems.
Effectively interface with key internal customers to set and manage expectations.
