Day to day tasks to be performed by the Consultant:
The Expert Systems Architect will perform these typical activities:
Under direction from supervisory staff, develop, configure, install, and maintain the VMWare infrastructure and Windows server operating systems in a multi-platform mission critical environment including changes, break fix, tuning and optimization, builds and security hardening, etc.
Perform daily system maintenance tasks, service delivery, system functionality and availability and keeping technology current with the industry standards and best practice.
Build, maintain, and support development, QA, test and Production environments and infrastructure (e.g., backup system, storage, etc.)
Perform hardware and system software installation, configuration, and optimization to meet the requirements of the system design
Make recommendations for forecasting the growth of the Virtualization and Windows server environments, designing/engineering recommendations for upgrades, technology shifts and redesigns to stay current, competitive and provide an optimized backend infrastructure
Other duties as identified

Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.
Expert - 84 Month
Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
84 months of experience as a VMWare Systems Engineer managing Windows based operating systems in a virtualized infrastructure environment.
72 months of experience in automating jobs via scripting languages for virtual environments and/or storage arrays
84 months of experience in an enterprise data center environment working with storage arrays, storage area networks and data backups
84 months of experience in Active Directory and Domain administration
84 months of experience in Windows monitoring (e.g. SCOM)
84 months of experience in SQL Server and Oracle database environments
60 months experience in coordinating with network teams to implement and debug changes in a 3-tier architecture
