Mission Systems Group (MSG) has a contingent opportunity for a Senior Staff Engineer  supporting the Deputy Chief Technology Office for Mission Capabilities (DCTO(MC)) within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)).  Primary responsibilities focus on providing assessment and integration of joint warfighting requirements to support the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (USD(R&E)) as the technical advisor to the Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC). Other responsibilities include support to the Joint Warfighting Concept (JWC) by developing and refining concept-required capabilities (CRC) and mission-level concepts to enable more focused mission-engineering analysis, prototyping, and experimentation activities within OUSD(R&E).The ideal candidate for this position is self-motivated, possesses broad experience leading the planning and execution of complex mission and systems analysis efforts.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for performing the following tasks related to transitioning DARPA programs/processes/capabilities into the DCTO(MC):Coordinate with appropriate stakeholders and leverage available tools, processes and forums to proactively facilitate transition for select capabilities from advanced DARPA programs. Stakeholders include but are not limited to routine engagement with: Military Service “Plans and Programs” Directorates or equivalent, OSD CAPE via PRTs, Issue Teams and SPRs, the OUSD(A&S) via the CAP process and IAPRs, and the Joint Staff through existing JCIDs process and forums.Execute a Transition Working Group and develop and execute a transition architecture and implementation plans for vanguard technical capabilities.
