Job Description:
This IMS Meridium Engineer position is a key role in our Shell QGC Engineering team based in Brisbane. Working closely with other members of the Engineering department, providing engineering support and assurance activities to Development, Greenfields and Brownfields Projects, Maintenance and Operations teams for the Upstream Asset. Ensuring delivery of Integrity Management System requirements which are safe, utilise best available, fit for purpose technology, compliant with industry, regulatory and Company standards, and are capable of sustained operation in line with operational targets.
Some of the key deliverables and responsibilities of this role are:
Maintain corporate governance of IMS and align to the AMS MEC – IMS RP wherever possible,
Liaise with relevant stakeholders where changes are to be made within IMS,
Provide input where systems interfacing with the IMS require change management,
Ensure all IMS users are properly trained to use the software,
Perform routinely scheduled IMS audits or ‘health checks’ (monthly, quarterly, yearly etc.)
Analyse business requirements and provide sustainable policy solutions,
Review and resolve technical issues reported in the IMS Sharepoint Action Tracker with assistance from BHGE or Upstream Support User where required,
Maintain IMS user manuals and training material with support from Upstream Support User where required,
Attends and provides direction and priorities for bi-weekly IMS Action Tracker review,
Approves resolution methodology for technical issues where provided by Upstream Support User,
Assures the IMS software complies to the IMS manual,
Review and analyse ‘bugs’ in the tool,
Advises how new users shall be setup in IMS

Requirements:
The candidate we are therefore seeking for this position, will have/be;
Graduate degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical or Corrosion Engineering.
Chartered Professional Engineer (or demonstrate a willingness to obtain)
The successful applicant will be required to obtain Registration as a Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ) and to maintain this registration whilst in the role.
AICIP or API510 & 570 Required
Completed the BHGE Meridium Training Modules;
APM Foundation – APM Framework
APM Foundation – Policy Manager
APM Foundation – Asset Health Manager
Mechanical Integrity – Thickness Monitoring
Mechanical Integrity – Inspection Management
Mechanical Integrity – Risk Based inspection
Considerable experience in the inspection of surface facilities in the oil and gas industry
Knowledge and domain of industry standards including AS3788, AS4343
SME in Pressure Equipment Integrity Management
Experience in an IMS Support role, specifically using the BHGE Meridium Software (Preference for V3.6 and 4.3)
Experience in CMMS Systems, specifically Maximo (GWMS)
Experience in applying S-RBI outcomes within an IMS
Crucial to the success of this role is the ability to work collaboratively & lead effectively across multi-functional teams and interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, based in various locations, whilst maintaining a high work level of work ethic and being able to work autonomously.
