Responsible for the installation, configuration, and management of mission critical security tools. Responsible for the technical aspects of the implementation of planned initiatives related to one or more key security functions: risk and issue assessment and remediation of key corporate security vulnerabilities, supporting security awareness, design and review of enterprise network security, and standardization of user access request and reviews
Responsibilities
Responsible for the development , implementation, and day to day maintenance of IT security & control infrastructures.
Provides on staff consulting for security requirements in complex system development activities, policies, standards and procedures.
Maintains knowledge of applicable IT security and governance laws, regulations, and policies that impact the health industry including HIPAA, HITECH, and PCI.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to implement new and advanced technology, or enhance existing technology.
Proactively identifies gaps or opportunities for improvement within existing security tools for greater enforcement of IT security policies and standards
Centrally monitors critical systems and responds to security events according to procedure and experience.
Consults with Regional Information Security Officers and other IT Security and Compliance functions to assist with the implementation of consistent security safeguards and controls throughout the organization
Consult with the CIRT team during a cyber incident as needed
Participates in team on-call coverage rotation.
Provides technical support for day-to-day security operations, change management and business continuity programs.
Proactively communicates to management regarding identified security risks, required security solution changes, and general improvement initiatives
','!*!Skills, Requirements, Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Experience with the Symantec DLP software platform required.
6 years of relevant security experience required.
2 years of relevant security engineering experience.
Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
Relevant industry certification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, Vendor and ITIL Certifications preferred.
General understanding of HIPAA, Federal and State Information Protection and Privacy regulations and other relevant regulations pertaining to the healthcare industry preferred.
