Supplier Quality Engineer

Profile

Cirrus Logic is the industry leader in mobile audio IC products.  We are looking for a dynamic Supplier Quality Engineer who embraces and thrives in the ever-changing landscape of our industry.
In this position, you will play a key role in Cirrus Logic’s quality engineering function and will be a critical member of a regional team of engineers located in Singapore. 
You will be responsible for supporting supplier quality initiatives, issue resolution and providing support for supplier performance excellence. You will interface directly with our tier-1 suppliers, both fab and OSAT locations, to ensure robust quality management systems, product quality levels, process control, and excursion elimination. 
Responsibilities
Drive development and continual improvement of supplier requirements, expectations, and development goals by using regularly occurring meetings and audits
Directly interface with middle and upper management across functions to enable world-class product quality and execution, implementation of quality best practices, and on-time qualification and release to production
Work collaboratively with multiple functions within and outside of Cirrus Logic to effectively solve any quality issue during the product development, production ramp, and high-volume phases of all products
Interface with supply chain and internal engineering teams on any customer or internal quality issues, including status and issue resolution updates, internal reporting, etc
Travel within Asia occasionally; could occur with short notice
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Materials Science discipline
5 years of technical experience in fab or assembly: process or product engineering
Expertise in performing technical root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems
Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a dynamic environment, multi-task and meet deadlines
Ability to support off-hours phone conferences with team members around the world
Capability to independently manage responsibilities with general oversight and strategic direction
Experience making decisions in a dynamic high-volume production environment
Knowledge of supplier quality standards, policies, and procedures including FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, etc
