We would like to expand our product support to a lot more frameworks and emerging standards. **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking to hire an DevOps/Platform engineer to focus on software integrations using SDKs and API to automate and build business processes. In this role, you will work closely with Product Management, Solution Architects as well as other teams on the company’s current and future strategies. You are required to have strong coding skills with fair knowledge on storage file systems like XFS, NFS, SMB, S3 etc. and should be well versed with how other platform components like Kubernetes/containers, servers, network switches/ connectivity on-premise and in the public cloud like AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
If you are a creative thinker and can independently determine what needs to be done and how to do it, we are looking for you.
What you’ll be doing:
Designing & automating 3rd party software development tools like Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, ArgoCD for CI/CD workflows.
Developing and integrating plugins into existing and new frameworks on **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. data Platforms using REST APIs.
Automating a repeatable model using Ansible and Terraform modules for various solutions on traditional (Bare Metal (BM) / Virtual Machines (VMs)) and Kubernetes environments.
Developing lab automation and live/recorded demonstrations for empowering sales and field engagements.
Creating technical presentations for customer, field, and partner use
Developing automation tools for simplifying Solution deployments based on Reference Architectures.
Implementing and automating test scripts to validate the software integrations.
Managing and maintaining automation and integration script in **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. GitHub location.
Learning and understanding the technical strategy in regard to product integration. This may include participating in cross-functional teams to review and influence product roadmaps.
What you'll need to bring to this role...
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science or Masters degree in computer science or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience is required.
Thorough knowledge of
Python
and
Shell
scripting. Familiarity with more than one of the other programming languages like
YAML, JSON, Go Lang, Java, or C# is highly desirable.
Working knowledge of automation frameworks like Ansible and Terraform.
Working knowledge of data center infrastructures and environments, including storage, compute, and networking. Additional knowledge of Storage management APIs.
Sound infrastructure knowledge in
Linux
distributions including virtualization technologies.
Knowledge of VMware Management interfaces like VMware Cloud Foundation, Tanzu Kubernetes etc. will be an advantage.
Good working knowledge on Kubernetes on-premise and in the public cloud is highly desirable.
Lead projects working with cross-functional teams to build and demonstrate solutions.
