Find your future with us.nWe are seeking Mid-Level Facilities Mechanical Engineers (Level 3) to join our Facilities and Asset Management team located in Everett and Renton, Washington. nnThese positions will focus on material handling, industrial building HVAC and controls, automation and mechanical systems, reliability and building automation.nnPosition Responsibilities: nnProvide maintenance support for architectural, civil, structural, electrical and/or mechanical phases of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems and grounds; develop and update design standards and site-specific operating proceduresnSupport steam generation, distribution and utilization; work with on-site boiler operators, plumbers and mechanics to provide reliable steam to end usersnSupport HVAC systems for office towers, paint hangers, research labs, etc.; partner with HVAC techs for reliable operationsnSupport Wastewater Treatment Plant for industrial wastewater; work with operators and environmental specialists to ensure reliable operations as well as following municipal code and permit requirementsnSupport Plumbing systems such as domestic and fire water distribution, natural gas distribution, and sanitary sewer and lift stationsnTranslate customer requirements into conceptual construction design options by analyzing intended use/occupancy and desired aesthetics, conducting code research, developing preliminary design elements, determining interdisciplinary engineering support requirementsnProvide guidance to strategic, short-term, and long-term infrastructure planning; completes studies; analyzes current conditions and future requirements; recommends capital improvements; gathers and analyzes data; and works with both internal and external customers to identify and assess alternatives and impactsnEstimate resource costs/requirements, identifying materials, equipment, and services, and developing initial project schedule to establish project scopenPlan and manage projects within budget;u00a0Lead a team of partners in acquisition and modification of assets to enable customers to achieve business objectives;u00a0Assist in the creation of contract scope; produce, review and approve detailed design documentsnLead and support construction projects by providing input on vendor selection; review contractor proposals; collaborate with government/regulatory agencies; monitors project progress and vendor/consultant performancenIntegrate the activities of multiple engineering teams, outside consultants, government agencies and provide supportnOffer project alternatives to ensure compliance with construction documents, building codes, jurisdictional requirements, standards, ordinances and regulations to meet project objectivesnAnalyze cause of asset failures and reduction in asset capacity by using reliability tools and methods (e.g., life cycle analysis, condition-based maintenance, root cause failure methodology, mean time between failures, fault tree analysis, etc.)nFacilitate implementation of improvements in asset effectiveness, availability, and maintainability; to specify configuration of new assets to support reliability programs nnnThis position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.nnThe position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a u201cUS Personu201d as defined by 22 C.F.R. u00a7 120.15 is required. u201cUS Personu201d includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.nnBasic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): nnBachelor of Science degree or greater in an engineering related fieldn3 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specificationsn3 years of experience in mechanical or facilities engineering nnnPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): nn3 years of experience repairing and maintaining high pressure steam boilers and air compressorsn3 years of experience working with industrial building HVAC and controls, chilled water, compressed air, process piping, vacuum piping, plumbing, fire protection, and steam & condensate systemsn5 years of experience in data and/or predictive analyticsn5 years of experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), or other similar rigorous problem/analysis/resolution, processes to engineering development and manufacturing/production effortsn5 years of experience in maintenance and reliability engineering methodologiesnEngineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) LicensennnTypical Education/Experience: u00a0 nEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master 3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.nnRelocation:nRelocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
