About the job
As the Segment Solutions Engineering team moves into its next phase of growth, we are looking for a determined leader to fill a hybrid role as the Presales Enablement Manager & LATAM Manager. This role is perfect for someone who is equally passionate about developing world-class Solutions Engineers and sellers and looking to break into management.
As the first SE manager in LATAM, the goal will be to build Segment’s first in-region Solutions Engineering team and hone processes to ensure our first direct sales approach in the region is a success. You will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding and driving revenue growth.
As the Global Presales Enablement Manager, the mission will be to drive world-class enablement across our Presales org and the broader Sales teams. This role will be highly collaborative and will include partnering with leadership across Presales, Sales and Sales Enablement.
Career Progression: This will be a short-term hybrid role in FY22. A critical element of the role will be to help determine the long term strategy of the two roles as the Segment SE org continues to scale. Possible options could be to create Enablement org or move into a dedicated LATAM manager role in 2023.
Responsibilities
As the LATAM SE Manager you’ll:
Recruit, Onboard, Develop a distributed team of SEs throughout LATAM
Collaborate with extended selling team to ensure success against revenue targets
Analyze market trends to continually iterate on ICP, onboarding and ongoing enablement in unique emerging markets
Partner with Twilio LATAM Sales and SE teams to build consistent and shared culture
As the Global Presales Enablement Manager you will:
Assess the enablement needs to create a unified enablement strategy, vision setting and content orchestration. Determine focus areas and prioritization for Presales needs and partner with Sales Enablement on Global Sales needs.
Proactively engage with Presales and Sales leadership to identify, prioritize and implement a global enablement program; create and maintain a single source of truth for all presales enablement activities
Audit current programs to identify gaps and drive all facets to improve including process optimization, content strategy and direct teaching
Lead the design and delivery of enablement programs to drive behavior change and increase performance and productivity across the Presales organization.
Coordinate with broader presales organization for content creation and delivery
Coordinate with Sales Enablement for support including logistics, process, tooling and technology

Required:
5 years progressive experience in a customer-facing technical role with at least 3 years of success in a pre-sales role
An ability to “lead from the front” and a willingness to work alongside your team to secure the technical win will be key to your success.
Passion for leadership, coaching/developing peers and closing deals
Highly organized self-starter with a passion for cross-functional problem solving
Experience building programs that have impact and reach across teams
A strong understanding of both the enterprise business cycle and growth deal cycle
A world class communicator. Confidence influencing and engaging with a highly skilled and experienced audience including C-level executives.
Desired:
Success selling in LATAM
Advanced language proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese
Location
This role can be anywhere in the US. LATAM direct reports and customers will be in GMT-3, GTM-5 time zones, so working on EST is preferred.
