Come and join our SLB center in the Greater Paris area. Our center is part of SLB global network of research and engineering centers. Equipped with top-notch laboratories and computing infrastructures, the teams collaborate in a dynamic and friendly atmosphere. Our center hosts the full product lifecycle, including research, engineering, manufacturing and sustaining. Job Summary:
The successful candidate will join the “Telecommunication and Navigation” team. Our multidisciplinary team is focused on developing autonomous systems that operate in extreme environment. High performance communication and navigation are essential to unlock the potential of these autonomous systems. The mission of our team is to invent, design and prototype new technologies that turn this vision into a reality. Examples include autonomous underwater vehicles for subsea operations, aerial drones for facility inspection, autonomous drilling for geothermal and hydrocarbon wells. The signal processing software engineer will lead the design of software solutions that run the algorithms for telecommunication and navigation. Typical tasks will include efficient implementation of signal processing, AI, and data science algorithms. The engineer will also participate in the design of back-end architectures, such as middleware for our autonomous systems.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Develops software solutions for signal processing applications
Designs software architectures for heavy data flow and high-performance distributed computing
Applies engineering knowledge in developing data-driven algorithms including classification, signal processing, data compression, anomaly detection, failure prediction, and advisors
Works with business and engineering teams to implement robust and scalable industrial software solutions
Communicates ideas, plans, and results effectively via oral and written reports - Works effectively with peers, management, operations groups, and outside organizations
Participates in technical forums and other appropriate events and conferences
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in computer science or applied mathematics or signal processing
Senior Software Engineer (5 years of relevant experience)
Skills:
Solid Experience in implementing complex mathematics in C Excellent track record of commercializing software involving signal processing implementations
Strong background in some of these listed areas: middleware, signal processing, deep learning, data compression, error-correction coding
Verbal and Written communication in English
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable to work both autonomously and in a team
Strong ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
