The Senior Software Engineer codes software applications based on business requirements. The Senior Software Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes. Researches complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
5 years of Mobile Application Development (iOS)
8 years' experience as a senior developer in large IT projects
Strong understanding of Agile practices, CI/CD, pipelines and DevOps practices
Experienced with Microservices, REST API's and cloud native engineering.
Design patterns and UI/UX Standards
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Experienced in guiding and mentoring engineers
Experience working with business teams in gathering requirements and translating them to detailed design.
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences


Preferred qualifications


.Net microservices and .NET core experience a plus
Cloud messaging, APIs, Push notifications
Benchmarking and optimization
Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL Database
Experience with unit testing frameworks, Secure coding and security practices
Help maintain code quality, code organization and automation
Good communicator, collaborate well with team and work across cross-functional teams.
Hands-on ability to performance engineer applications

Prior experience in the health solutions domain
Experience with complex technical environments


Additional Information:

-Preference is to hire in LOU but open to Remote - US

-Will report to the Lead Technology Leadership Professional, IT Digital Channels and Contract Centers
