Job Description:
Job Purpose:
Provide support to Shell’s OUs by operating and maintaining Aveva Engineering services environment. You will be expected to manage, execute and assigned tasks for multiple engineering design projects:
Some of the tasks are: Internal auditing plan based on the Data quality standard and validation data before connecting to the future Digital Twin solution.
Business Dimensions:
The role is expected to help Team Lead maintain Aveva Engineering services environment
Principal Accountabilities:
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) at AVEVA Engineering
Strong understanding of fundamentals of mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and process discipline
Expertise in AVEVA Engineering Administration inclusive of AVEVA Administration, AVEVA Catalogue, Data Model, Datasheet Templates, Grids, Database Views and Report Templates Creation
Experience in configuration & integration of AVEVA products using AVEVA Integration Services
AVEVA Engineering set-up and administration.
Progress reporting
Datasheets & TAG Data
AVEVA Unified Engineering.
Engineering data integration with AVEVA E3D, AVEVA E &I & AVEVA P&ID.
Engineering data integration with 3rd party engineering solutions.
Work experience with Digital Twin concepts.
User training and project execution manuals.
Develop new functionalities within the tool in order to meet new needs.
Knowledge of the AVEVA programming language (PML) .NET and SQLWork will be in predominantly Instrumentation drawings, but the Knowledge in Electrical & Piping drawings will be preferred
Key Challenges:
Shift work following operating hours of the operation units across the globe.
Virtual working with key stakeholders for day-to-day operations
Effective initiative to identify and help resolve business and technical issues within areas of responsibility.
A self-starter and reliable deliverer, with good verbal and written skills in English.
Exposes the individual to all cultural backgrounds and organizational levels across the globe, across diverse time zones.
The role primarily involves remote support to the Shell operating units/sites in the drawing management & updates.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Education/Experience:
At least 3-5 years’ experience working with AVEVA Net or AVEVA Engineering development within the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry.: -
In-depth, hands-on experience operating and programming AVEVA applications.
Fluent verbally, written and reading English. Must be very clearly spoken.
Strong proficiency of MS-Office applications such as Word, Access and Excel and Outlook.
Highly preferred work experience in Oil and Gas/Power and other related industries
Behavioral Competences:
Excellent communication skills and a quick learner. Be a good team player. Ability to prioritize and ensure delivery of priorities for the area of responsibility. Flexible and adaptable to change, with a track record of demonstrating initiative, analytical capabilities and problem-solving.
Ability to apply engineering best practices, codes, and standards to identify issues, recommend improvements, and implement solutions.
Excellent stakeholder management with business interface exposure
Strong interpersonal leadership skills are critical due to the requirement for effective communication of complex issues across multiple offices and teams.
