Description

The Senior Cloud Services Engineer enables cloud to provide optimal performance, continuity and efficiency in virtualized, on-demand environments. The Senior Cloud Services Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Azure Engineer utilizes software that manages and monitors networks, systems and applications not only to guarantee performance to cloud software environments but also to better orchestrate and automate provisioning of resources. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Responsibilities:


Work with architects to design cloud on-demand environments with optimal performance that meet operational and security needs.
Implement software to monitor and manage environments including networks, systems and applications to ensure best value delivered.
Work with architects to set up CI/CD pipelines to ensure properly managed, efficient, and secure integration and delivery of new end user software features.
Use software to monitor ongoing performance of solutions.
Make proactive changes before problems impacting performance occur.
Ensure resource utilization is in line with expectations.
Plan and create change specifications needed for applications to scale on-premises and use mandated security protocols and techniques.


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent years of experience.
5 years of technical experience in system engineer roles or information technology infrastructure support roles.
2 years of technical experience supporting cloud based technologies.
Strong technical knowledge and experience with Terraform, Azure ARM, Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell, YAML and Serverless Technologies.
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.


Preferred Qualifications


Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Prior experience supporting Azure cloud systems.
Associate or Professional Cloud Certification
ARM templates
Azure DevOps Build and Release Pipelines
App Service Environments (V2) with zonal redundancy
App Services (Isolated Tiers)
App Gateways (V2)
Traffic Manager
Storage Accounts
Key Vaults
Service Endpoints
Managed Identities
