The Subject Matter Expert (SME-III) Technology and Capabilities (TC) will support the implementation and promulgating Mission Engineering (ME) processes and methodology in the DoD ecosystems. The Subject Matter Expert (SME-III) Technology and Capabilities (TC) will have the experience and expertise in cutting edge technologies and application of technologies into new and innovative warfighting capabilities.  This position is remote with travel to the Washington D.C./Virginia area.  Master’s degree in Engineering or PhysicsTwenty (20) or more years within the specified technical disciplineExcellent communication skills both verbally and in writingAbility to develop papers, reports, and briefings targeted to senior decision makersExperience to include supporting policy and process engineering activitiesBe experience in one of the following Modeling & Simulation tools: Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling software (AFSIM), Systems Tool Kit (STK), Command Professional Edition (Command PE / CPE) and the USAF Synthetic Theater Operations Research Model (STORM).Experience and expertise in cutting edge technologies and application of technologies into new and innovative warfighting capabilities. In-depth technical knowledge and experience with existing and future advanced DoD weapon systems and their capabilities, concept of operations, limitations, and upgrade capacities. Areas of expertise in system capabilities, performance, and operations include: Land, sea, air, and space platforms; offensive, defensive, kinetic and directed energy weapons; sensors for ISR and fire control; cyberwarfare; communication networks; electromagnetic spectrum management to include EW and 5G; application of automation; command, control, and battle management; fires close air support, long range fires, targeting, air and missile defenseAN ACTIVE DOD TS CLEARANCE WITH THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN SCI ELIGABILITY IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZENMust be in compliance of working at a Government Facility, all Contractor personnel must adhere to Government guidance found at ****.Be able to travel around the National Capital Region (NCR) to include travel to and from the Pentagon and other Government facilities within the Washington DC area.
