This position will involve leading the procurement, preparation, management and access to lab infrastructure and targets across Research teams in support of the plugin development efforts on emergent security vulnerabilities. The role would involve interfacing with other stakeholders within and outside of Tenable. Your Opportunity:Leads lab infrastructure management efforts to optimally align with current and near-future plugin development plans Supports plugins development and update efforts with lab infrastructure standup, configuration, patch maintenance for both vulnerable and patched version target testing, and target sunsetting / cold storage across all Research TeamsDevelops guides, instructions, automation scripts, workflows and other supporting reference documents and artifacts to ensure Lab configuration knowledge and best practices are established, shared and adhered to across the Research teams Empowers Research teams to self-serve as possibleProvides initial installation & configuration of received procurementsLeads procurement efforts in support of plugin detection efforts across Research including vetting Research requests with Managers through the approval process, liaising with internal points of contact on approved procurements, and tracking status on procurements-in-processProvides the primary interface with internal IT stakeholders on Lab physical & virtual space and network addressing across our Lab infrastructure hosted in locations worldwideKeeps current the Research Lab infrastructure manifest and actively participates in planning with Research teams to meet emergent needsActively participates in corporate forward planning meetings and maintains situational awareness of corporate IT infrastructure investments and changes to technology and their impact on the Lab infrastructure and missionMentors team members and helps researchers when needed What You'll Need:Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, leading the effort on Lab infrastructure projects and being an active member of the team on larger IT initiativesKeep abreast with the advancements and developments in the security vulnerabilities and support Research initiatives to keep our customers secureActively participates in Research team forward planning meetings and maintains situational awareness of future plugin development initiatives to ensure alignment of Lab infrastructure with emergent needsAdaptable and able to shift priorities among initiatives, as neededInitiative and drive to explore and learn continuallyB.S. degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experienceAt least 7 years of R&D Lab management experience And Ideally:Strong working knowledge of a broad range of information technology that aligns with our customer’s current and emerging infrastructureExperience with systems administration and be comfortable working at the command lineSolid knowledge and abilities with current operating systems, virtualization platforms, physical and virtual networking gear, and secure identity and access management across these IT platformsSolid knowledge of common protocols such as HTTP, DNS, SSH, SMB, etcExperience with scripting languages and infrastructureIf you’ve reached this point, and you’re still not sure if you should apply…..Just do it! Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. Employees are also eligible for variable compensation in addition to base pay (commission for sales roles, bonus for non-sales roles), depending on company and individual performance.
