Description

The Senior Full Stack Engineer Performs software engineering activities in all layers of the stack, from setting up the database to programming in the back-end and the appearance at the front-end. The Senior Full Stack Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

Humana is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer that:


Is involved in all stages of software development, including front-end development, back-end development, database integrations, network and hosting management, user interface, user experience, and back-end server management.
Begins to influence department's strategy.
Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.


Responsibilities:

Senior full stack engineers are responsible for providing expert-level technical support for the team. They research, document, and act as subject matter expert on specified applications. They participate in design and improvement processes. They manage project schedules, including testing and delivery to requestors. Mentor junior application engineers.

Required Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications and/or infrastructure
Working experience with MS Office technologies
Experience working closely with end user consumers
Creative, out of the box, problem solver that can present alternative solutions to address an issue
Comfortable multi-tasking and working as part of a global team, as well as working independently and taking ownership
Adaptive to ambiguity and willing to change in a fast paced environment
Meaningful development experience in modern web frameworks
Excellent object oriented programming skills on the .NET platform
Senior/Expert building both SOAP and restful APIs and Web services within WCF
Experience working with relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle)
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences


Preferred Qualifications


Master's Degree
Experience with BI technologies
Familiarity with analytical languages (MDX, DAX, etc.) used in data analytics
Experience with cloud-hosting solutions and CI/CD pipeline tools.
Experience with IBM infrastructure products a plus (API Connect, etc.)
Experience with Copado, Mulesoft and SalesForce
Healthcare experience
