Profile

With minimal direction, apply network engineering principles, theories and concepts, as well knowledge of related disciplines.
Facilitate, analyze, and monitor IT passive infrastructure requirements with Mission Partners, facility contractors, and other infrastructure providers.
Facilitate, analyze and monitor installation of Mission Partner workstations and capabilities.
Integrate and monitor IT infrastructure security requirements.
Support KC deployments to identify and resolve any IT passive infrastructure discrepancies or Mission Partner related discrepancies.
Design architectures for high-availability, high-security, and high-volume networks in a geographically dispersed environment
Responsible for complex testing and analysis of elements of the NRC's network facilities.
Demonstrate advance proficiency with platform operating systems (routers, switches, LAN, WAN, firewalls, etc) for classified and unclassified voice services; ensure architectural integrity and compliance with network and voice standards and protocols
Ensure the development of cost effective, operationally supportable solutions that meet complex customer requirements
Work closely with multiple contractors to integrate technical solutions across different IT service areas (e.g., Application Hosting, Storage)
Identify emerging network technologies, trends, and practices; assess their impact on existing infrastructure
Work with Operations to drive continuous improvement in availability, serviceability, and efficiency
Lead the development of reportable operational metrics, to include Service Level Agreements (SLA) and other performance metrics for Transport services
Support program reviews; prepare and present high-level briefings and workshops as required
Assist in the creation of Requests For Change (RFC) to enable implementation of core service functional requirements
Provide core service allocation of requirements to the NSG Requirements for Applications and Infrastructure (NRAI) and Information Technology Infrastructure Requirements Document (ITIRD) to enable allocation of requirements within Request For Proposals (RFPs), System Requirements Documents (SRDs), or Statements of Work (SOWs)
Mentors and instructs lower level engineers on technical expertise needed in collecting and assembling data, preparing reports, monitoring progress, and analyzing data
