Job Summary

The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Data Team defines and executes on data strategy to help our internal customers make better decisions. The Senior Solution Engineer plays a critical role in helping to understand and capture critical business needs, and mapping those needs to data requirements and strategy. As a Solution Engineer you will lead data discovery/analysis efforts for this team. You will operate across a number of technical domains with a focus in a primary area such as Product or Quality. You are a naturally curious problem solver with a passion for efficiency and execution excellence. You have performed in an analytical or technical role previously and have a strong understanding of the analytical workflow from requirements/data discovery through analysis to operationalization. You understand this role requires presence and confidence, the critical role data plays in the competitive landscape and demonstrate a passion for data excellence. You embrace collaboration as a central tenant to being successful and understand the critical need to build trusting bonds both with our key stakeholders and delivery teams.

Core Responsibilities:


Serve as the primary vehicle to provide Engagement Leads and Solution Owners the transparency needed to understand current versus desired states
Partner effectively with a Solution Owner/Project Manager to define and scope work into delivery roadmaps.
Ensure traceability and alignment of execution to critical priorities.
Translate requests from the various analysis and business teams into business and data requirements.
Partner with internal and external teams to identify and define datasets needed to support analysis.
Understand and have mastered the skills needed to perform analyses for data/communications networks and products.
Develop recommendations for technical and non-technical audience.
Help to identify financial and operational opportunities across the data and analysis ecosystem.
Anticipate needs, operate with a sense of urgency, and have the ability to adapt to change quickly. Some travel.


Tasks:


Crafts data and solution design and specification for data engineering projects and initiatives.
Partners with Architecture and Data Platform to solve difficult development problems and achieve engineering goals.
Strives to achieve Company business objectives and engineering objectives in daily activity.
Documents results of applied work processes and practical application of technical standards.
Adopts best practices and teams with Delivery Owner to captures and reports results to stakeholders.
Recommends innovative solutions.
Utilizes resources to solve moderate development problems and recommends new resources to management.
Sets the tone and pace for work performance within project groups and impressionable Engineering staff.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
