Description
Humana is looking for a Senior Software & Data Engineer who is well rounded in Data engineering tools and technologies and has experience with Azure Cloud, storage accounts, queues and messaging, to join our team. As a Senior Software & Data Engineer, you will develop software applications in a Cloud setting based on business requirements, standardize the quality assurance procedure for software and oversee testing and debugging as well as develop fixes.
Responsibilities
This role will involve data engineering to meet specific business requirements which requires a significant set of technical skills, including strong knowledge of SQL database design, some understanding of analytics/bi tools that support data analysis and experience with programming languages .net and c#.
Provide output to the end users with supported data analysis utilizing analytics/BI tools
Understand Azure Cloud systems to enable everyone within Humana to use this data
Ensure systems are in place for data access and user control
Work collaboratively with the data governance team and utilize concepts, tools and platforms to support proper data governance
Build a standards-driven, scalable, secure and dynamic portal for the information delivery of specific based applications
Partner with other business areas within Humana to understand application requirements and develop programming specifications for development staff
Develop enhancements, resolve issues, coordinate testing of statement releases and oversee regular production efforts including DevOps activities
Provide development and ongoing software support and issue resolution
Required Qualifications
(MUST haves!)
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent related work experience
5 years of experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications and/or infrastructure
1 year of experience with Azure Cloud, storage accounts, queues, and messaging
Previous experience with MongoDB
Previous experience with SQL Server
Experience programming Microsoft .net and c#
Must be able to effectively and collaboratively with other data experts and have the ability to communicate to business partners without a technology background
Work at Home/Remote Requirements
Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings
Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required
Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree
Experience with Streamsets
Experience with consuming data from Kafta topics
Experience with Online SharePoint
