Responsibilities

The Associate Director, Software Engineering standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes. Researches complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues. Decisions are typically related to identifying and resolving complex technical and operational problems within department(s), and could lead multiple managers or highly specialized professional associates.

Responsibilities:


Collaborate with business partners, such as VPs/Directors/Managers/Product owners to understand the overall product, business use, goals, long term plan, and future usage.
Lead the development of a moderately complex to very complex solutions meeting, or exceeding business expectations
Manage a development team of 5-10 associates and 50-75 contractors onshore and offshore that is responsible for multiple work streams or lines of business
Manage project budgets and team member allocations to specific pieces of work being developed


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
6 or more years of technical experience
2 or more years of management experience
Broad understanding of Information Technology solutions including technologies, platforms, applications and capabilities
3 or more years of IT Management experience
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Additional Information

Will report to Director, Technology Solutions, IT TA-IDEA-Integrated Data Engineering Advancement

Associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster, or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.

Provide proof of applicable exemption including any required supporting documentation
