We are looking for a well-rounded engineer that is willing to learn modern and innovative platforms. The Software Engineer II
will focus specifically on architecture, instrumentation and management of observability platform for our distributed systems. The team goal is to make troubleshooting of production incidents a thing of the past, by enabling other teams to quickly diagnose and fix resiliency, quality, and performance issues of their public cloud services and components.

This position will serve on a broader team of technology professionals, cooperatively designing and enhancing systems, developing standards, and creating robust technology solutions that deliver real business value to **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated experience in managing and supporting an enterprise and will have very strong knowledge of cloud technologies, automation and highly available and secure designs.

Key position responsibilities include:
Architect, deploy and manage our Monitoring & Observability platform.
Define best practices around making our systems and services measurable and work with our various teams to get those best practices applied.
Collaborate with our Engineering & Platform teams to ensure our services, platforms and infrastructure are emitting the right metrics.
Collect, aggregate and visualize the collected metrics to provide actionable insight.
Contribute to our evolving “data driven”, “Open source” and “cloud PAAS first” culture through continuous learning.
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience

Preferred Qualifications:
1 or more years implementing and supporting cloud technologies
Prior experience with one or more of the following - Stackdriver, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, CloudWatch , Kibana, Grafana and Splunk.
Knowledge of or experience with container orchestrion technologies.
Clear understanding of cloud services provided by major vendors and experience integrating private and public clouds
Conceptual understanding of Agile and DevOps culture
Experience implementing CI / CD and DevOps philosophies and working with infrastructure-as-code
Experience with instrumenting mission critical services on a globally distributed level, using public cloud providers like GCP, AWS and Azure is a plus.
Experience collaborating and communicating across IT teams, departments and with internal and external customers
