Description
The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the deployment and configuration of all VMware and Physical Windows and Linux servers as well vendor supplied Virtual Appliances for the Humana Enterprise.
Responsibilities
The Senior Systems Engineer deploys and configures servers based on requirements provided by the application teams. This requires managing a project workload to ensure servers are delivered within their SLA. This role also requires testing new operating systems, hardware, and software before they are rolled out to production, and collaboration with other technical teams within IT to resolve issues. Proficiency with scripting and automation tools. Contributes to department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
Required Qualifications
Experience as a Systems Engineer in a Data Center environment
Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat/Oracle Linux, VMware vSphere/ESXi
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
5-8 years of Systems Engineer experience
Cisco UCS and HP server hardware technology
Automation Experience - Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, PowerShell
Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Technology
Microsoft Azure AZ-900 Certification
Infrastructure Industry related Certification

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated (preferred) or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while on-site at work.
