Description
The Senior Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain data processing architectures and solutions enabling the efficient transformation of structured and unstructured data into data products and insights for the Law, Risk, and Compliance (LRC) organization. The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with risk and compliance subject matter experts (SMEs) to extract, transform, and load internal and external data into new and existing data models for advanced analysis and business intelligence reporting.
Responsibilities
The Senior Data Engineer works with data from internal and external sources utilizing cloud and on-premises environments. Develops automated processes that clean, organize, and transform data into data products, insights, and actions that enables the LRC organization to more effectively monitor risk and compliance issues and controls. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components within the team's data and reporting framework. Contributes to more innovative approaches to the organization's data assets as they build knowledge of the LRC organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Data Science, or similar field
Experience developing complex queries, data modeling, and extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes in SQL, Python, or similar technical languages
Proficient using ETL platforms like SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Azure Synapse, Databricks, etc.
Experience transforming structured and unstructured data
5 or more years of technical experience
Strategic thinking and planning capabilities
Organized and detail-oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced experience with SQL, Python, or similar technical languages
Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (ASA)
Advanced Degree

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated (preferred) or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work.
