We are in need of a part time maintenance technician to join our team of service professionals with full weekend availability (Saturdays and Sundays).Job OverviewThis position is for weekend hours only, preferably from 9AM-5PM although a later start time would be considered.Primary job task is to perform daily maintenance routines related to all monitored equipment throughout the hotel, resolve urgent maintenance issues and perform preventative maintenance work throughout the hotel.ResponsibilitiesnConduct morning maintenance routine: monitor/record various hotel equipment metrics and pool operations including testing/adjusting pool chemical levels.nPrioritize work orders through urgent requests and established hotel area down times in order to minimize inconveniencing guests.nPerforms general repairs and services in all maintenance related disciplines, including but not limited; carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, minor electrical, finish work, etc.nRespond to guest room calls as required and provide excellent customer service to guests needing maintenance assistance.nParticipate in OSHA/Safety programs within the hotel through awareness in everyday job functions and participate on the Hotel’s Emergency Evacuation Team.nSpecific Job Knowledge And SkillsThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:nExperience in of mechanical/electrical/plumbing basics preferred. Able to perform repetitive preventative maintenance on guest rooms.nMost work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like outside, freezers (-10F) and kitchens ( 100F).nMust be able to work independently, exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the hotel on a timely basis.nMust be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning and repair/maintenance task.nMust be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
